Clitoris Anatomy
The clitoris is a complex organ designed specifically for pleasure. The visible parts include the glans (the sensitive tip) and the clitoral hood (or prepuce), which is a fold of skin that covers and protects the glans. Just beneath the surface, the clitoris has a shaft (or body) that extends inward. This shaft then divides into two branches called crura (or “legs”), which spread out in a wishbone or wishbone shape beneath the pubic bone. Near the vaginal opening, you’ll also find the clitoral bulbs—paired structures of erectile tissue on either side.
